As a Catholic educational institution Saint Dominic School is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, psychological, social, cultural, and physical needs of our children.  This is accomplished by providing as atmosphere permeated by a spirit of belonging, which is based on Christian fellowship and growth, and shared spiritual experiences.

Young children are eager and curious learner, endowed by nature with a spontaneous interest in exploring, inquiring, and experimenting.  Saint Dominic School emphasizes respect and responsibility in these experiences, always aiming toward academic excellence.  In addition, opportunity for athletic, cultural and social activities is provided so that students may receive the preparation necessary to meet an ever-changing world.  We send forth young adults who are striving to witness Christ through prayer, example, and service to others.

On September 8, 1965, Saint Dominic School opened its portals for the first time, welcoming 336 children in grades 1 through 3.  The first principal was Sr. Marianne. She was assisted by Sr. Christine, Sr. Celeste, Sr. Kathleen Marie, and four lay teachers.

In September 1970, St. Dominic welcomed its first eighth graders, and by that time the school enrollment had increased to 623 children.

Today St. Dominic School has an enrollment of 664 boys and girls in grade Pre-K through eighth, with approximately 64 students at each grade level.

School registration usually takes place in January for grades Kindergarten through eighth and in March for Pre-school.  Exact dates are published in the bulletin.
